Some tips here

Postby aldebaran » Wed Aug 01, 2007 8:56 am

I know what copyright means, but ... you know ... some old books or magazines are almost of public domain. So I come across the MotherEarthNews collection (1970-2000) and the Blackwoods home 1996-2003 collection ... someone interested? It's a huge DL!!

During periods of famine, a well-fed person has either been hoarding food or has been indulging in cannibalism. Either way, it's bad if rumors start to spread.

Thanks for the links. You weren't kidding, pretty large downloads. Not recommended for anyone on dialup. You would be waiting until next christmas for them to finish. But me, I have them racing down at 200KB a second.

I'd like the link just to see how large the file is, no interest in the files themselves. No really.

All the files were around 750MB in zipped format. Unzipped they are around 1GB.

And if the .tar and .tar.gz file extensions are throwing you off, just try to get the latest version of winzip or winrar and they will handle those file types.

Btw, I really like the Backwoods files. It has every edition in it from #37 (Jan/Feb 1996) to #84 (Nov/Dec 2003).
