[Survival Bill]

I am setting up a Fall meet for Saturday Aug 30th

Time: 10AM to 4PM

Bushcraft/Survival will be the topic of the day also demonstrations from who ever shows up also tools of the trade will be on display and open to discussions
this will be very casual and it will also give me the chance to hand out some patches saving me some postage....

well, i still dont know how I ll get to the meet up so I might be unable to come for this round... Darn, Well I will be there in spirit folks. I am sorry. Plus I have work (first day on the job) So I apologise for being unable to actually come to it, Sorry folks.

looks like the weather will be OK for the meet so far I ordered a couple knifes off ebay was hoping they would show up before the meet I am hoping they show up by tomoro....

I will be doing a demo spoon making session along with other things of interest so show up or you will miss all the fun...

Just back from the meet had a great time weather was perfect lots of fun good conversation, got started on one of the spoons wrecked the other one oh well... Did not get meny pics to busy yaking up a storm would have been nice to have more show up but hay thats the way it goes... I do have to buy a new larger backpack though seems things grew and did not want to go back in the pack the way they did before..We are thinking about a winter meetup to test out our cold weather gear/equipment...

I had a great time at the randezvous. We talked a lot about bushcraft, equipment, water filters, knives, fire making, politics, internet, future , etc...
I picked up my SB patches (they even look better up close..), also I picked up some flint and steel (SB brought them from the island).
There were lots of blackberries nearby, so we nibbled and gathered some of them for the freezer as well.

WELL Swithblade....i was hoping for more PROOF that there were NOT the women u claimed you were both chasing around (SB says there was just the two of u and no women)......so guess i will just have to trust him....LOL

I was looking for over an hour, lol, and now I can see where you guys were, but I might have missed it as I showed up at 3pm. I went up and down that street on my Truimph, in between the warehouses, out by the river, along the railway tracks but I didn't go through the shrub line into the flats. I didn't see any parked cars so I didn't go past the treeline.

If you guys hadn't left already you were probably a stones throw away!

Lost my sunglasses but I found scads of rosehips, a strange blackberry bush, and some other berries I know nothing about.

It was really hard to miss, since SB had a big fluorescent green sign at the back of his parked van..not to mention my truck right in front of his vehicle..
Perhaps you will have better luck next time...

Dang----- Looks like y'all had a great time. To far for me to make it though. I had a good day as well. I got with one of our crew and we went into the mountains on our quads to do maintinance on one of the repeater sites I maintain. Did a total of 70 miles and had an outstanding time.
